Zillion Roads Not Taken

Some deserve, some don’t.

Some achieve, some don’t.

Some try, while some don’t.

– Random thoughts

So you only live once. What you do with this one life is the big question. A question, the answer of which unfolds slower than seasons changing but faster than bullets racing. What do you dream of? Or what have you dreamt so far? And did you get what you dreamt of?

Ask a kid and he wants to be an astronaut, a pilot, a scientist. Ask a B.Tech student and he has no answer. Sometimes I wonder what went between “I have so many life career options” and “I’m an engineering student”.. What I mean to say is that there was supposed to be some time for us to choose what we wanted to be, and I think somewhere, we just slept through the time and followed the wind. 20 years of life and most of us didn’t exactly find the right road to follow. Well, some did..

And then there are people who are too stressed up with their lives. Enter 2016 and we are on a new road to burdens, work load, responsibilities and what not. We have so much to do and so less time. So less time and even lesser resources.

Hello science people, if you are reading this, now is definitely the best time to start working on that time machine!

How do you do something you know could only be done an year ago or that requires a lot of time that you already missed? Learning a new skill, going places, developing things, developing your life… you know you are doing it wrong if you don’t have time for things that matter, for things you love, for people you love..

CAT, GRE, GATE, College associations, projects, sometimes I feel how many of us are going to look back and say “I enjoyed my work at college” and how many are rather gonna say “I wish I took out some time for myself”. What do I work for when I am involved in college activities? I work for a name, some “good job Mahaveer” messages, a little appreciation and a little to show my friends someday. Everybody likes it when people know them. Now there are two ways for people to know you, either be the best or be extraordinarily bad 😛

I don’t have a lot of people who know me but I like it when someone messages me that they like my work, they like my poster or my t-shirt design or anything. Sometimes people ask for my help in their studies, sometimes juniors ask my help with learning something new from the field of electronics…

I have never been “elder” to anyone all my life. Being the younger child, I never got to guide someone. So I must say I like guiding others. But with guidance comes responsibilities.

What do I do if my guidance doesn’t help someone?

Sometimes there are decisions that people make, decisions that will change their life, things that will leave its effect for at least a considerable amount of time in the near future. Is it normal to feel the pressure if people ask you before making these decisions?

What would you say if I asked you to guide me on whether I should stop blogging and start something else? Do you stop me by saying that I am good at blogging and that’s something that I can’t stop my soul from doing? Or do you keep your trust in me and let me pursue my other interest with a hope that I will excel in it?

Don’t worry! I’m not leaving this blog 😛

Sometimes, some decisions make your life easy, while some make it better… and very seldom do “easy” and “good” come together.

Life

When you are in the 3rd year of a hectic college life, you miss opportunities. Sometimes because you give priorities to something else, sometimes because you walk too fast and don’t look around. There are so many things to do, so many people to know, but so less time..

Or do we have enough time?

Life is like a video game. We always have enough time but not enough “lives”. But life is no video game 😛 Because there is no restart button.. and you can’t re-do things.. re-live things..

You know, life is not full of options, but rather roads. Because options, you can take more than one at a time or at least switch between them real quick. But a road, once you start travelling down one, you see light at the end of a tunnel and keep walking. Sometimes you walk too long before realizing its a dead end with some consolation prize at the end… sometimes you use binoculars.. But you can’t know for sure what’s in there for you in every road you travel..

We all get tired.

We all get frustrated.

We all get lost.

We all fall.

Make it easier for yourself to rise again. Tomorrow is always brighter. For there are a zillion roads left to travel and the perfect treasure is well hidden in the maze. For there are miles to go… but I’ll just sleep.

Your turn to wake me up.
