Yellow And Tangerine Rainy Illusion

I’m going to ask you to do something. That’s something you can’t generally do over text so bear with me this one time, because I can’t possibly call you and ask you to do so!

Ok. Ready?

Close your eyes.

Now if you are reading this line without closing your eyes once, you are being too curious 😛

Just do as I say.

Close your eyes for 10 seconds and only then read ahead.

.

.

Did you see anything?

Or did you just spent the last 10 seconds relaxing and thinking about what is wrong with Mahaveer? 😀

I guess it was all just a non-sense of 10 seconds. So let me try again. This time, let me try something different.

Don’t think of an elephant.

OK. Don’t kill me over this but what did you see just now? Even with your eyes wide open!?

OK. Lets try something again.

.

Think of something you like. Close your eyes for 10 seconds.

.

.

What did you see? Or rather how many things did you see?

I am sure you had actually spent the last 10 seconds thinking of what to think!

It’s difficult, isn’t it?

To decide what to think of, and what not to…

When you are 20, there are things you can definitely live without. There are feelings you don’t ‘need’, people you don’t ‘need’, moments you don’t ‘get’ and wishes you can’t ‘have’. But living among all these things you don’t need, you do know that ‘need’ and ‘want’ work pretty differently.

There are things you can live without. But you don’t want to…

Let me try something.

Think of the most important moment of today that you lived. Close your eyes and relive it. Make it happen differently.

.

.

Are you happy with the result?

Think of the same moment again. Now relive it again. This time relive it exactly how it went.

.

.

Are you happy with the result?

Mind well, if you are happy either ways, your life is better than most people here! And when you learn, that it always has to happen the way it did, only then you learn the importance of history and the present.

There are moments from the past you could regret, and moments you can cherish.

There is a first time for everything that happens, and then there is a last time too… And what happens in between, sometimes its just a well planned illusion.

If I had a chance to correct some mistake I committed last week, I would rather spend today deducing whether it was even a mistake or not. Being inside a mirror room, sometimes you don’t know if its a mirror or the way ahead. And while you can laugh out loud as you smash your head against a mirror trying to get ahead, the illusions of life smash your souls through time. So better be sound and steady and know what you step into.

Not saying I didn’t make a mistake. Because I did. And I’m sorry for all the wrong consequences.

But it just had to happen the way it did.

Can’t blame myself for everything.

Well anyways.

If you live in Ahmedabad, or nearby cities, you would have experienced a thunderous rain few days back. 2rd March night to be precise. Yea, I just had to mention the rains because if you have been following my blog, you would know that if there is one one thing I like about sudden climatic changes, then it is the rains.

A perfect combination of sweet and soft winds that have the power to uproot the weak plants and the joy of chilling drops of water that would otherwise need a geyser if you are in a bathroom. Nobody disapproves the joy of a rainy weather be it summer or winter. At least I would never.

Pear-Rain-Photograph

Yes, I am not one of those who would run into the pouring rain or not carry an umbrella the next day just in case it rained again, but I am definitely one of those who imagine themselves holding a cup of warm coffee and staring into the yellow sepia toned world while it rains down the canvas of life.

Illusion.

There’s a videogame I liked playing. The story is divided into 3 parts centered around 3 main characters and there are 3 such independent parts in the videogame. And all the 3 stories overlap at some point of time and in the end, the story combines all the 3 main characters and ends the evil blah blah. Life at most moments is very similar. You have yourself, your story. And then you have the other people and their stories, and you overlap at some point of time. Whether you meet them today or whether you *could have* met months back, or probably both. Sometimes you end up living the rest of the story together and ending the evil 😛 Or at least a significant portion of it. Your best friend, your boss, your startup partner, your soul mate, what not. Or sometimes you just pass by as ‘extras’ and continue your own stories.

We dance to a song of heartbreak and hope. All the while wondering if somewhere, somehow, there’s someone perfect, who might be searching for us. – ‘The Wonder Years’

Or sometimes you believe the story has finally converged but this videogame has more twists than you thought! More twists.. and a lot more illusions.. and if this story is just another illusion of mind, well it just had to be this way.

For the last time, let us try something.

.

.

Think of me wearing a t-shirt. Imagine any color for my t-shirt. Close your eyes for 2 seconds. Won’t ask for more 😛

.

.

.

.

.

.

Thanks. That’s all I wanted for today 🙂

.

.

.

By the way, what was the color of my t-shirt? If I may ask 😉
